Are you interested in trying your hand at something new? Let's start with calligraphy! We're thrilled to welcome Kate Edwards with Quill and Curl Calligraphy back to Good Day for another Intro to Modern Calligraphy workshop!

Join local calligrapher, Kate Edwards, in the Good Day party room to learn the basics of modern calligraphy! In this two and a half hour class you’ll learn about the supplies used for pointed pen calligraphy, how to hold a pen holder, letterforms and how they’re assembled, and troubleshooting tips and tricks. You’ll walk away with the ability to get ink flowing from nib to paper and all the tools needed to practice and develop your calligraphy skills. Supplies are included and are yours to keep!

She has a passion for pointed pen, both traditional and modern scripts, and loves sharing this passion with others. She specializes in wedding calligraphy, custom keepsakes, and on-site calligraphy/engraving. She has been a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH) since 2019.
